AOMS Technologies has commercialized over a decade of R&D in a world-class research institution to develop an unparalleled fiber optic sensor technology for harsh environment sensing where existing sensors fail or lose performance. We have invented a series of incredibly powerful technologies that changes the landscape of sensing in applications where accurate, high-fidelity, and reliable measurement of data is paramount. Our invention is based on seamless integration of high-purity optical glass and high grade alloys of conventional metals such as steel, nickel, and aluminum. At AOMS, we have the compulsion to develop products to resolve the challenges of the existing electronic-based sensors – i.e., susceptibility to electromagnetic noise, failure in harsh environmental conditions, high spatial density measurement, etc. AOMS provides premium sensing capabilities to a wide range of industry customers – energy, environmental services, clean technologies, structural health monitoring, automotive, aerospace, and defense. AOMS product is an end-to-end hardware-software platform compatible with many of the existing industry standards for system integration.


Hamid holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He has over 14 years of experience in project engineering, product development, business consultation in Canada and the UK. Hamid’s portfolio includes 40+ publications in the form of patents, scholarly articles, and book chapters and several awards for his contributions to research and innovation in the area of fiber optic sensors.

Amir has over 12 years of experience in sales engineering and business development accompanied with research experience in materials science and fiber optics. In addition to his technical expertise, Amir holds an MBA degree with the expertise in project management, business plan development and technology transfer and commercialization.

Richard obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He has over 7 years of engineering work experience in hardware, software, opto-mechanical systems, and mechatronic systems design and integration.
